I am training for another Half Marathon! I completed my first race last August and I was surprised at how much I ended up loving the long runs on the weekends and disliked the shorter weekday runs. So weird!
After the race was over, I knew it would not be my last. I felt good about myself, strong, and like a role model for my daughter.
I started training because I needed to do something that was all mine where I could be by myself while Matt stayed home with our baby. I was also looking to put my endorphins to work to help improve my mental health. I needed an end goal; something to make me feel accountable when working out. Without the end goal, I would have given up and sat my ass right back down on the couch feeling bad for myself again. Relate?!
My race inspired my fellow mom-friend to start running again post child. We decided to pick a date and train together! Come join us?
I’d love all of the encouragement as I trail run through the mountains in preparation for race day!
OR I’d love it even MORE if you felt inspired enough to run alongside with me? It’s more fun and motivating to have friends to do this with. Matt and I both decided on a race last year and trained together which made for healthy competition and motivation!
Of course, WE probably won’t be physically running together but we will keep each other on track through encouragement and empowerment. So…

With Whom: Whoever want to join me! My friend Steph is already on board and I have a couple other friends interested.
Where: Wherever you are. The gym, your neighborhood streets, a school track. Winters are hard so we can encourage and inspire each other to keep up with it!
When: Training starts this Tuesday, January 8th, 2019. If you decided after this date you’d like to hop on board, that is cool too! Let me know and I will be happy to provide you with a unique training schedule fit for your goals.
